Folks,

The recent warm weather has produced a few artifacts, like flowering small weeds in lawns, and a flowering japonica (quince) a neighborhood over. But today I experienced the first regular indicator of spring in spite of the cold snap - one that I posted about last year - dead skunks in the road.

Two of them this morning on the way to work, so SPRING'S A COMIN'

No, the true harbinger of spring is Hamley popping his head out of the frozen ground after months of dormancy. Welcome back, Steve! It MUST be spring.

I've seen them on the roads too. I'm ready for spring, although we haven't had any winter yet to speak of. Lets have one good snow first!

Yep, we've got daffodils, redbuds in flower and even some Japanese Maples have leafed out. It is strange.
