Another from the increasingly debris filled pond at work.
Any advice on when would be the least destructive time to organise the clearing of a pond ? It's absolutely rife with dragonfly and damselfly larvae and we do have newts, frogs and toads (though lots less last year) so don't want to disturb any bottom hibernating amphibians too much.

Hi Paul,
Nice capture - apepars a little too closely cropped near the tail for me. But I like the strong vibrant red green colours
I used to always clear my pond in the autumn and place all the debris on the side of the pond for a few days in oder to allow everything a chnce to get back into the pond from the wet weeds etc.

Hi Paul,
Maybe a lower viewpoint may have improved the image to show more of its details. Sorry can't help on the pond issue.

Hi Paul
Niall is correct, October is the best month.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to ensure it's left alone for now then.
