Hi all,
we are working on a facelift of our website, which took way more time than we thought. since we are heading off for more then two months next tuesday, there is not much time to change much as soon as it is on our server. not all menues are filled with content, but we need input as to how it looks. we kept it simple on purpose, but there should be no grammatical mistakes whatsoever. any comments are welcome!!!

I really like the overall style and layout. Very nice. I do see some grammar/word problems in the "photographers" section...I'll send an email with details.
I like the clean and professional design, and f course the beautiful images. I also notices some grammatical issues in the "photographers" page but sounds like David is already on top of it.

I really like the clean, uncluttered appearance. I also like the ease of access to the different areas. I agree with Guy, a very professional presentation. "Thumbs up" here.

Beautifully designed site with amazing photos. I have one navigation suggestion. When I'm viewing an image and I click on the back button of the browser, I go to the home page. I should be going back to the gallery page. Other than that, my only nit is that I want to see more images.
Great work. Have a great trip to NZ. I'm jealous.

Make the language selection links on the splash page a bit bigger (or use the common flag icons) I bet there are some people out there with high rez monitors and weak reading glasses ;)
A navigation suggestion: when a user clicks on the logo (top left corner), the link shouldn`t take him back to the language selection page every time. Point it to the "willkommen bei" page or the "Photographers" page instead.

I just sent you an email message - When I accessed the website in Safari (I'm a Mac user) many of the images do not display when I clicked on the thumbnails. I also use Firefox and that seems better. Although your page of news where you announce a new book where an image should be there is the word 'Cover'
Please let me know if you want me to try other features.
Looks like there may be issues with some browsers?

Style wise and navigation wise it looks quite good. The site is pretty bad in regard to search engine optimization though. I'm not one to recommend splash pages to people. You're better off defaulting to one language site and providing a link to the alternate language in the navigation. This would enable you to lose the splash page. The good is that your navigation is text based, but the bad is the rest of your index page is devoid of text that can be spidered by search engines.
One peculiarity that I found... when viewing a large image in the gallery... I randomly get a large cursor blinking through the image. I'm not sure if that is a browser irregularity or part of the programming. I've never seen that before.
If I weren't a web guy by trade my cursory assessment would be beautiful site, but I think you can do much better taking the steps beyond look and feel.
I too like simple and clean design of your site. As others had mentioned, more images would be great, and I too find navigation in the gallery a bit awkward. But that's about it. BDW your WWW sign is linked to empty portfolio page instead to your web site.

Both the photography and the site design are fantastic. I like your style a lot. However, I'd have a German expert control the "photographers" text (the one in German, of course ). I think there are a couple of "Kommas" in excess, and the sentence about LF cameras and film sounds a little "holprig". But I'm a Biologist, so I don't think I'm the person to ask when it comes to grammar.
