Bridal Veil Falls is finally freezing up
I visited Bridal Veil Falls (Tinkers Creek Reservation, Cleveland MetroParks) last Sunday with Jack Graham. Things were just starting to develop weather-wise. I found a B&W rendition of this little detail was able to make for some interesting drama from the otherwise bland light. We're going to return with a group this Sunday - it's been cold and snowing all week, so things should be very interesting.

Nice shot, Bob. The B&W really works well here.

For those of you who have been itching to shoot snow, we got a couple of inches overnight and are expecting between 3 and 7 inches over the next 24 hours (if you can believe the weatherman). See you all out there!

Bernie - thanks for the kind words. Hopefully we'll be pulling some seriously decent photos home this weekend - conditions are prime. BTW, shutter speed was 8-seconds. I had to stop down to f/22 to hold DOF.

Jack - you in for Sunday? I'm willing to go to both falls now that the ice has set up.

Anyone else going from NPN?

I'm praying more for snow. Sadly, I'll be working all next week since today is my last day of five off, so I don't want any to arrive til after the Superbowl ( Go Colts!). It is spitting flurries, and no snow is expected, but I have to agree with Jack on the cold part. It's like minus 5 here with the wind.

All you fortunate enough to be getting any snow enjoy it thoroughly - it's my favorite time.
