thought I'd alert the group to counterfeit epson inks. I bought a couple of 2 "genuine epson" ink cartridges off a private buyer on Ebay. Successfully buggered up both my 1290 and 1290s printers. Increasing problem apparently and very hard to spot. It seemed odd because all the colours clogged half way through a print and I've been unable to clean them despite all usual procedures including pressit cleaning cartridges.
New years resolution is to give up ebay for all purchases. It's too soft a target for counterfeiters.

Hi Peter
If you print a lot with your 1290's I would take a look at some of the continuous ink systems as this will save you a lot of money on ink. Marrutt do the Lyson CIS.
