Hi Guys,
I had planned to go out and find some Bearded Reedlings today, but that plan was cancelled, so i went to De Meern/The Netherlands, to find my friend the Buzzard. I did not find him, but whilst photographing some pheasants, he found me! He flew right by my lens, and decided he would eat his lunch (a big Brown Rat) right in front of my car! Sometimes you just got to get lucky...
Greetings,

My only nit on this is the angle you're shooting at. Why are you photographing pheasants from your car? would you not be better flat on the ground for them?
Cheers

Hi John,
If only they would let me get near them flat on the ground...
The pheasants in our regions are scared off very easily..

I like the pose and composition with the diagonal from the tail leading you in to the picture. Only thing i would say is it looks like the focal point is on the wings rather than the head which makes my attention rest there.

Very nice image. Agree with John, but pheasants don't let me near them here either unless in the car
