I have been inspired to a renewed interest in photography from experiences of wilderness accessed aboard my sailboat based in British Columbia. I need to learn more about filters and would appreciate a referral to posts or resource material. Many ops present themselves in typically heavy forest (dark) cover. Memorable was an encounter with 3 wolves in a remote valley as both myself and the wolves were stalking cariboo.

I am also interested in taking along 2 other enthusiasts. For details, please refer to my url contained on this site.

Thanks in advance... Gary

I lived on a great boat in BC/Alaska for 3 yrs. A word of caution:
you'll need VR lenses from the boat.
The salt and air is horrific on ALL equipement. Yuo'll need excelelnt storage and cleaning supplies.
Filters won't help dark areas - you'll need good camera settings and good post-processing. You'll have to work with the light you get, and that can be a challenge in deep shadow.

What is the URL ? I'm interested in learning more about your proposed trips..

Hello Sandy... just click on the www symbol on my posting above. I would be happy to keep in touch by email for further info... Thanks for the tips.... my notebook computer, guitar strings etc, etc... have all experienced the effects of salt. I will be doing some r&d at the library and camera shop. Missing lifetime shots for lack of good equip is something I am going to rectify...

Keep well... Gary
