CVNP Update
I visited the hot (?) spots on my way back from Cleveland today. Here's a look at Brandywine from the far side. The Park Service has closed the lower observation deck, but the upper is open.

Bridal Veil looks completely different from Bob Kulon's shot last Sunday. Lots of ice and snow redirecting the flow toward the center. Some interesting little ice structures today.

Blue Hen has some cool ice sculptures building on either side of the falls.

All falls had a lot of water going over them today--more than I would have expected, as cold as it was.

Happy shooting!

Chuck,

I am glad to see you can't sleep either.

Brandy wine should be just a bit better than this by Sunday. They always close the Lower falls walkway but ---- I just put on my Yak Traks and jump the chain to the LOWER PLATFORM and trek to get the shot.. I actually think this image can be repeated in about 2 weeks based on the forecast. However this weekend we should get some good, interesting images.

Nice shot, Jack. It wasn't so much the barrier that stopped me from going down to the lower platform--it was the "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS" tape that gave me pause. But I did see your footprints
