I'm not sure if I got it right with this one. Let me know what you think.

Hey Eric- I'm thinking "abstract" in its purest sense. I think it is pretty good. Too bad the small stream intimates are not drawing many critiques lately.

I like it. Very nice.

I like the image. Maybe crop just before the bigger rock on the right. Seems to balance it more for me that way...

I like it, you've got some nice even lighting and a good diagonal through the photo. Good winter mood.

I'm with Swami on this one Eric. It appears a tad dark, but that's probably just my uncalibrated work monitor.

Eric, I like the subject, and the comp is very nice. Agree it is a little dark. :jump:

very good mood textures. the colors are nice and work well with the shapes and textures. I really like the nature abstracts but so few people do that I stopped posting them. Ned is right. Maybe we need an abstract nature gallery 'cause we can't get no respect... I don't find it obtrusively dark. After all, this is winter and the tonality sets the winter mood. Good work!

Hey Eric, I like it too. I think it's nicely balanced, good seasonal colors and overall great comp. I have one dumb little nit: the dirt around the upper branch of the root where it goes into the ice. Zap that outa there (if you agree with that sort of thing) and see what you think.

I really like to shoot landscape intimates like this, but agree that here @ PNWNP the grand landscape is much more in favor. That's okay. But I'm glad you posted this. Gives the rest of us some encouragement.
