Black Throated Thrush
An exceedingly rare visitor to our island. Taken today in heavy drizzle and thick cover, so not the best of images.
1DS2 800sigma on wimberley. ISO 1600 (yes) , f5.6 @ 1/160, cropped all round to leave an 11in x 8in image, USM & neat image.
Best wishes
Phil

Hi Phil,
Seems to be tourist season for birdies, we have an American Robin, went to have a look but left quick as not keen on crowds must have been 100+ twitchers there. Your shot looks a good record.

One to be very pleased with Phillip, looks more blackbirdish than Thrush  How many birders had turned up where it was?

I saw a wierd Blackbird today, it has a small looking head than normal but it's head was pure white, did I get a shot of it? NOPE :frown:

The beauty of living on a Scottish island is that the only birder there was ME :jump: :jump:

Hi phil,

A great record shot to have in your collection. I bet the ferry out tomorrow has a few twitchers aboard

Well Done

Nice shot of this lovely bird, Phil. I won`t be coming to see it: there was one ten minutes down the road from me in Swansea this time last year. Hope yours hang around as long as `ours` did - two or three months!
