Birds and sky put on a show for me for a half hour.
Nikon Coolpix 8800
1/151s f/4.0 at 44.5mm iso100

See shot of same during previous daytime in ESS

In my opinion, the daytime version of this shot is very nice. It shows the eagles in their surroundings especially the alligator  . In this shot, I miss the reflection of the clouds. None the less this is a very nice shot too. :toast:

the sky is glorious and having the eagles in it is a nice addition (you, lucky!). The mood of the sunset time is nicely evoked. I just wish that goll-durn post (or whatever man made looking thing that is) wasn't in there.

Thanks, Predeep. The tide was out so the inner reflective lagoon was dry.

Catherine, the post will probably be cloned out in final print thanks to your feedback.

Very nice grab. I like that one of the eagles is in action. Bet it looks awesome on a big print.

There is something about this shot that I like. Though the sky seems a little over processed and could be cropped out some, There is a certain sense of mystery with this. Nice work!

Awesome shot! I can't comment further because I'm still working on a crappy labtop monitor.

The bit of land to the right----is that Point No Point, seen from the south end of Whidbey Island?

Wow! Quite a catch!

Eric, that is Double Bluff on Whidbey. Foulweather Bluff is almost "touching" the perch with the Hood Canal entrance behind it. Point No Point is south (to the left off frame).
