The Shindig ROCKED! Wow! We had about 50-60 people make it out for the gathering, including a lot of new members - it was great to meet all of you! You can check out the Shidig Pics here. I did my best to remember names (and spelling!), but I know that I missed a few. If you don't see your name with a pic - or if I misspelled it - my apologies; please e-mail using the e-mail link in my signature below because I'd love to get your names right. Thanks!

The highlight this year had to be the portfolios of work that people brought to share. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! From large prints to printer comparisons to complete portfolios... it was genuinely difficult to find the time to check out everyone's work. Jennifer and I spent a lot of time with Steve Weaver, looking at and discussing what is one of the more impressive portofolios of work I've seen anywhere.

Thanks to everyone who made it to Qube - you made it the best shindig ever! :toast:

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it to the party but I'm thrilled to hear that it was such a huge success! I hope you all had a great time, met some new folks and saw some amazing photos. :toast:

Like Bret I couldn't make it myself, but it sure looks like it was a lot of fun!

I wish I could have made it, but unfortunately it's a long drive from Taos. I'm glad RMNP had a good turn-out. :toast:

Long drive from Ridgway too... I'm bummed I wasn't there to meet everyone. :wavey:

Same here - wish I could join you guys! Maybe we can throw a shindig in Escalante one of these days (don't expect goodies, projectors, or a print gallery though)

Thanks to Brent D.,and Rick D., for the organizing and prep work, and everyone else who brought gear, prints, food and bubbling personalities to share. I had a great time renewing acquaintances and making new ones.
And Guy, that Escalante idea sounds pretty interesting!!

I agree more room for print display would've been nice (mine got covered up by whoever was next to me). I guess there's no good way to know how many prints there will be and how much room is needed. It was a fun time getting to see some the faces to match the names we see here. My special thanks to Frank Spears and Don Grall for graciously spending time with my hubby and me. It wasn't easy being the newbie and they made me feel welcome.

Great job of general planning to Rick Dunn and Bret D.
