Hi folks,
Thank you for all of your input. After your many words of wisdom, plus a lot of deliberation and researching on the 'net, I realize the D100 will make a great backup camera. Since the camera appears to be so susceptible to dust, most likely I'll mount a lens on the camera and keep it on. I just ordered a power adapter so I can lock the mirror and give the sensor a decent cleaning.
I'll just wait a bit for that Teleconverter I really want.
Now does anyone have a little red wagon so I can conveniently carry two cameras, a tripod, any maybe a jug of water when I travel far afield from my car ??? (said with a smile)
Thanks again,
Carol Hyman

Sounds great Carol - anything extra that you can't carry just send my way!

Thanks guys.
The truth is I can't wait til I get that power adapter so I can clean the sensor with two hands.
