Hi, This is my first post on UKNP, I look forward to participating in discussions in the near future, I had a great day out with UKNP member Tim Munsey at the Attenborough Nature Reserve. It was good to meet up with Tim he gave me some excellent advice on get my technique correct shooting Birds. This is one of 400 pics I took.

tut tut tut.... shame on Tim. Did he not mention posting your techs?
A bird I find difficult to shoot as there's always something not quite right. You've done well here as there's detail in the blacks and processing looks good for web. Only nit for me is it's a bit big in the frame and not enough room for the subject to walk into. Just personal preference. Nice one! Please don't say you're going to post another 399 shots of this Moorhen

Hey up Nick,
Welcome to the forum. What a fine condition this bird is in, such a shiny coat.
Nice one

Great detail in the blacks mostly, I would agree with the comment on more space and would also make the observation that waiting for the head to catch the light is often good.
