I am joining Kalin in Feb of the trip to Page. But am seriously thinking that we might want to head to Bisti. I haven't been there but a close friend has given me solid info on the place from his experieces.
I am just wondering if you guys were to vote woudl you goto Bisti or Page in mid Feb?
For variety and number of opportunities, the area around Page is much richer and more interesting. Bisti has some interesting spots but there's not a whole lot else out there.

How many days? If you have several days, there is not nearly as much to do in Bisti as around Page. If you have 1-2 days only, then Bisti might be better.

Page, for the waffles.

I agree Page has a lot more options. However, if you are only going for a long weekend, the Bisti / Chaco Canyon area has more than enough to keep you busy.
I'll admit I havent been to the Bisti, and certainly plan on going someday, but I'd have to give my vote to Page. So many photographic areas in close proximity, plus the possibility for Coyote Buttes takes it over the top. Not to mention you can hit Monument valley on your way to and from.

Well, I'll admit that I've never been to Page, but I'd pick it over Bisti for mid-February because of the chance of winter weather. It's been wet and messy here in New Mexico and he forecast calls for more of the same. Bisti is not the place to be in wet/snowy weather.
