Star Gazing
I know this is blurry and I know this is not technically a great picture but I thought I would share it anyway....

there is a good story behind the photo and why the guy was there but without knowing who he is...I would rather not share the story....

Anyway....this was taken about 10:30pm from Maxwell Point above Oceanside on Friday night...

its about a 4 min exposure wide open ISO 640

Darren,
Stepping out of the box is a good thing. I really think this is a cool shot.

Darren, I really like this a lot. It's a creative concept. Very contemplative and dreamlike... Every element (except for the visible lights) coheres with this mood. This is definitely worth executing again to fix the techs.

Actually, the only blur that distracts me is the wiggle in the star trails. Otherwise, the softness (even the blur that obscures the guy's face) adds to the mood.

There are ways to cut out noise on long exposures--I'm just learning myself. There is a lot of information on this available on astrophotography websites...
