Was just going through my last spring's Malheur pictures. I sort of loved these three stilts - will post this in the avian gallery sometime. What do you guys think of this comp ? It lacks sharpness definitely. Is this somewhat appealing or should I just ditch it ?

That's pretty amazing, Pradeep. It almost looks like some kind of time lapse of the same bird taking off in flight. I'd crop this into a pano. And I'd be tempted to clone in some more grass on the very top left--just to cover up the top left where you can't crop out all the water.
Hi, Pradeep,
I have a couple suggestions for you to consider... I like the comp as is because it shows the birds' habitat. The birds are large enough in the frame that, IMHO, the two in motion either need to be sharper OR there should be more apparent motion. If you want to spend the time in pocessing, carefully add motion blur to the 2 birds on the right. I think the one on the left is sharp enough. BTW, the white stick could creatively disappear as well.
Overall it's a beautiful comp of really cool birds. Just depends on how much time you want to devote to saving the image. Good luck. And offer us a repost if you work it over.

I like the progression but I think the comp need some more creative thinking.
Catherine, I've spent nearly 2 hours trying to add motion blur without spoiling the picture. I'll try some more and will repost. So far no luck. Thanks for all the suggestions though.

Did you have enough light? What are the stats?
