Hi,

Looking at the weather forecast it looks as if we are going to have a Sunny day tomorrow, I live in North Herts so I was thinking visiting Welney tomorrow. I have not been before I was wondering what Welney was like for Photography? What can I expect to see?

Are there any alternatives in my area?

Cheers

Hi Nick,

I went to Welney in the middle of December and thoroughly enjoyed the day, photographing mainly the swans from the main observatory as the other hides were shut due to flooding.

I also live in herts (Cheshunt) and am regular in the Lee Valley Park as it is within walking distance of my house. I also go to Epping at times. Are you member of the LVNP? they have 4 'secret' hides which are situated for photography and attract a variety of spieces.

Hope that helps.

Regards Chris.

Hi Chris,

I will ring Welney to see if the hides are open.

I live in Letchworth so Lee Valley is not to far away, is the park situated nr Waltham Abbey? a friend of mine visits the Park at Fishers Green, Waltham Abbey is that where you go?

I am not a LVNP member, maybe I will get in touch with them.

When you go again drop me an email perhaps we could meet up?

Cheers

Hi Nick,

I go most days weather and computer work providing, so any time is great if you did want to meet. Fishers green is one of the places that I pass through, as I tend walk in a circle using the paths laid out. Waltham Abbey is nearby, but that is a different part of the valley which I visit only occasionally as its out of my walking distance.
There is a car park near to me in the park called Turnford Brooke or there is one at Fishers green, depending on what direction you were coming from.

Regards Chris.

Hi Chris,

I am going to Lee valley, Fishers Green tomorrow, I will be there around 10:30 so if you see me say hello.

By the way all the hides are closed at Welney so I am giving that a miss for a few weeks.

Cheers

Those hide are for the member of the lee valley nature photographic association.
