Took this a few months ago at hug point. Curious as to if it works at all, or how much you might crop off the left, if any. I tried to blur the water to give something to the large expanse. Wish the sunset would have been better.

I don't know what kind of rock the cliffs are here but I love this beach, it amazing how the crowds thin out just one park south of cannon beach. If you can go during very jigh tide, the waves run all the way up to a line of tiny baseball sized pebbles, which creates an awesome effect, but I only saw that once during a huge storm.

Aside from my usual dislike for blurry water.....this is really neat!

hmmm... a square crop would make it a cool graphic.

Pastels are gorgeous. And the blurry water definitely adds a huge element of movement; actually more like the forces of nature made visible and appreciable. I like the frame the way it is if you want the light source to be obvious. The square crop (cropping off the left) makes the light source more mysterious, as it is seen as light reflected on the cliffs and in the water.
I know I've posted my share of saturated sunsets lately, mostly because I'd never been able to get out at those hours to try the after sunset shots like that. But this sunset is just sublime. Love it. :toast:
