Hi to all,
I'm going to Bolton Abbey in the morning , I've been told you can get very close views of Dippers there , can anyone confirm this ???
Kind regards
Andy...

You can get close to them, there is a hide there but the light isn't that great at the hide site. It's easier to get close to them when they are feeding their young. Look out for Goosanders and Mandarin ducks, also there's a couple of good spots for photographing small birds such as coal tits, nuthatch's etc.
Be prepared to spend a fiver for parking.
Hi I do not know but if you have no luck I know a particularly good place for later in the year with plenty of other species as well.
Phillip.
Ps this was taken at the place but you do need to bring some Wellington boots to cross the river.
