I found this cascade on a protected salmon stream, a tributary of the Umpqua River. Below me was a large pool, and while I was there at least 5 juvenile salmon and/or steelhead were trying to make there way up. The water was so low, they ended up flopping back into the pool.

Ned, I'm not really feeling this one. Sorry. I think it's probably the lack of complimentary subject matter and lack of perspective/scale. This could be 3 feet across or 30 - I'm not sure. But even with knowledge of scale, I still feel it's too one-dimensional. A very immediate image with a dominant subject and nowhere else to go.

That's a cool multi-fall shot but agree with Marc that there isn't much of a story being shared in the photo... now if you could have gotten one of the fish trying to jump up here with this in the BG.....

I agree the scale is a bit hard to tell. Maybe a leaf or something would help. Everything else looks good.

It feels too tight to me, Ned.

Interesting comments... I would guess bottom of pool to top is about 8-10 feet... this little grouping was tucked neatly in the rock walls.. was sure it would work.. I'll have some more spacious ones to post into next week..
