Of all the places in the UK today.....
I picked Martin Mere which was fog bound while everywhere else was bathed in glorious sunshine

Only spent an hour or so there as the fog seemed to be getting thicker as the day wore on.

Here's a couple of whoopers that passed by the foggy hide.

Never mind John, you got something out of adversity - it's actually a quite visually pleasing shot. Sometimes less is more

Probably going to take a chance on the Solway today - forecast is for cloud and mist...let's see what happens.

The fog has done you a favour, John. Much more atmospheric than a blue-sky shot. Lovely!

Andy...

This photo has an etherial quality which IMHO raises it way above the norm. Excellent.

I like it, great to get one with wings up and the other down.

Works well for me too, and different from the norm - I suspect the ISO was higher than you'd have liked though, but fog and snow generally help mask this a touch more I find.

Superb shot John. The open beak is the icing on the cake.Definately wouldn't swap this beautiful, atmospheric and complementary backdrop for a blue sky.
