It was a quiet day at Lee Valley today despite the glorious sunshine. Only worthy shot from the day and i had to wait till half past four for it....... :frown:

Hi Szekiat,

Great shot of the Greater Crested Grebe, its interesting how the colour of the water has gone a sort of gold colour, I guess that was something to do with the angle of light late in the day?

Its a shame we didn't meet up perhaps another time.

Cheers

Nick

A nice GCG Szekiat, given the head turn I might place the bird further to the right, including more of the wake... you don't give any techs so difficult to comment further...

thanks for the kind comments. As far as techs go, it was shot with a 20D, iso400, 1/200 F8 and at about 4pm in the evening hence the lighting. I could possibly have gotten a better frame were i not half sliding off the banks and into the river. The silt is really fine and my tripod was sinking so i had to open up the legs on the banks instead. Made for a precarious situation and the grebe certainly wasn't worth a 300-800 and pneumonia!
