Anyone think System Info/prefs included in Signature a good idea??

I don't know what this would entail to impliment & it might not be practical or many might think it's unecessary, but I was wondering if folks might think it's a good idea to include our computer system information in a prefs panel with the posts here in the digital forum.
On the apple discussions site you are given the option of entering in which computer, OS, periferrals & such. Just like your signature, It's included with all your posts. This helps those responding give help that's tailored, when necessary, for the specific computer configuration involved.
I was thinking it might help folks looking in here to narrow down questions & advice given so that not a lot of (for lack of a better phrase) wasted effort is given on a responce that doesnt address their particular needs. You know, give a lot of "Mac" info for someone using a PC and vice versa, that type of thing.
Folks trying to give an answer to an inquiry, wouldn't need to ask that often occurring ? in this forum,.. "What system are you using, what monitor,.. what image editing program etc." ? It could also help folks performing searches to find answers, focus their search and instantly know if the advice given for a specific topic applies to them or not.
I know sometimes I read responses & threads only to find out at the very end that the discussion involved PC specific issues or fixes and doesn't apply to me ( Yup, I'm a Mac user, sorry)
It seems this might be relevant in this particular forum at least, and I was wondering if others thought it would be a good idea. We could even give an option to list our primary camera system info as well.
Ps. I know we could do this voluntarily, and it is probably a good idea to do so, but a signature type form would simplify things & make it easier for everyone include this information every post. It seems like often folks don't think about including it. At least not right in the beginning of their post.

The information one puts in their 'signature' is global throughout the NPN forums. So, while computer system/monitor/image editing info is useful in this forum, it would be superfluous in the other forums.
My suggestion is that if someone has a digital imaging question that revolves around hardware or software, that they include relevant 'system' information in their post. That way, replies would target the issue or concern in a more efficient and effective manner.
