Anybody know if this road is accessible right now ?
Was going to hit sunrise around Hood tomorrow and this is a possible place but I can't find info on the road conditions.

I dont think it opens for a few more months...but not totally sure. I'd bet that it is closed right now.

John...I was talking to a guy who was up there yesterday morning and he said that its still gated off but that you can hike or snowshoe in......

Yeah, it's about four miles to the top from the gate. I doubt it is this deep at the top now, but I have read that the snow on the point can be taller than the safety fence. Just saying watch out--it's a long sled ride to the bottom there.
It was gusting so hard when I started up last January that it almost knocked me on my butt a few times. I ended up shooting a few frames down a side road and went back home for a hot dinner.
