Crimson Carpet
Maple leaves at rest on a drizzly Autumn mid-afternoon. I shot these not far from my front door. Might be a little on the crunchy side with the sharpening, here, so if it distracts from the picture overall let me know!

It took me about 50 frames or so to find a discernable pattern/form/shape in the leaves, but based on past experiences with this kind of photography, I consider that lucky!

very nice Mike. The pastels of the leaves blend very well with the water droplets. This is a really good use of a polarizer. Good shapes, contrast, composition.

Very nice! The prominent stem in the upper left (over the droplet) is the only distraction really....

Love the detail in these leaves - the water droplets are a great touch !

Mike, I have a similar shot of maple leaves from here on the "right" coast. What captivated me most is that the water only beads on the backside and the fronts are nice and saturated from being wet.

The vein structure on the back of the leaves does seem a bit gritty from the sharpening.
