Matting advice

I have a small number of A3 prints (10) that I need to mat and frame. Does anyone have a mat cutter that they could recommend? I've seen that they range in price widely so some advice from those with practical experience would be greatly welcomed. I'd like to spend less than £100 on this (preferrably much less!!!) as it's likely to see very infrequent use.

Regards

John,

If 10 is all you need I wouldn't bother buying. I would sub it out. I am sure there are some forum members who can give you a reasonable rate. JG?

Hi John

You could try Carters Mounts who do a wide variety of matts, pre-formatted and custom.

I reckon you could get the job done for a reasonable cost at your local framing shop. For small infrequent jobs I don't think it is worth the hassle cutting your own matts.

cheers

Whew!!! Thought it may have been a typo there for a second.

I'd go with an on-line framer or your local framing shop to do this sort of quantity.

John

If you want to contact me about this I can give you a quote. I am a bespoke framer and I will definately be cheaper than your high street framer. I do a lot of work for other photographers and artists.

Thanks for the plug Tom
