Canon 1D MkIIN, 600IS + 1.4TC, ISO640, 1/250s @ f5.6, C1Pro, CS2
One of my favourites from a recent Scottish trip. I preferred this comp to a similar vertical, he gets a little too close to the RHS edge on the vertical I think.
Beautiful little birds - it's hard to take a bad picture of these chaps (although I certainly tried!)

A beautiful image to match a beautiful bird John! I don't know if you are aware but there is a dust spot about 4inches down and 1 inch to the right of the birds beak in this image.
Where abouts did you go for these in Scotland?
Lovely bird John, love that crest.... I think you made the right choice on the composition, light looks to have been on the low side, If I'm not mistaken these are from Aviemore area....
Sharp in the right places... excellent.

Another nice Cresty John.
Chris, I believe this was taken from Neil McIntyres feeding station as I recognise the previous Cresty post.

the soft lighting really works on this. good choice of comp.
Nice shot. I like the way the bird pops from the frame.
Only need to deal with that dust spot.

What a stunning image John - great bird, great exposure
Any chance you can move the bird a tad left so this image obeys the rule of thirds?
Clone some of that great BG on the rhs if you run out of room and do the dust bunny - it'll be as perfect as you could get it then
