I'm feeling a bit left out of the winter fun and was reminded of this image by Jack's recent post. This was taken about 1 year ago, during my first time out with a large format camera. I'll be sending out some film for processing this week, so hopefully I'll have some current stuff to post soon.
Stay warm everyone!

Joel,
This looks like its in a ice canyon. I like the water moving down on the bottom and the DOF is great. I know there was nothing you probably could have done about it but in PS (I am using Elements 5),I went into the Brightness&Shadows area and brought some detail out in the upper right hand corner. The dark area just seemed like wasted space, but now i makes the image more pleasing for me anyway!...................very very nice.
Thanks for your comment Jack. There's no water flowing anywhere, it's all solid ice. The dark portion in the upper right was left that way since that's how I experienced it. The light was very dim, and I wanted to communicate that feeling through the print. There certainly is detail there, but I didn't want it to look unnatural. Your edit seems a bit to bright for me, though I understand what you're getting at. I'm wondering if meeting somewhere in-between and then cropping a touch off the right and top would work.
Thanks for taking the time to give me your thoughts.

Joel,
Folks that know PS a lot better than me would lasso that dark area and just brighten that are up. I agree mines too bright. What really works for me after looking at his image many times is I am drawn into the scene wondering whats around the bend where we can't see. The more I look at it the more I like it.
Just one mans opinion.
