Marc, those clouds are just way too cool! I like it.

I like it with the bush cropped out, Marc.

I like the bush in the FG but wouldn't mind if it were just a bit more off center (to the left) than it is now. The leading lines on the desert floor add alot.

Marc, This does not come across as your typical work.....its nice to see something a bit different.....the clouds are incredible and I would love to see this as a vertical shot if you were to crop the left side out putting the bush in the lower left hand corner..... and crop out about half the space between the edge of the photo and the clouds on the right!!!!! :toast:

This is pretty amazing.

You guys can feel free to crop it yourself and post it so I know exactly what you're talking about. I just can't see this working any better after trying a few crops, except maybe with just a little more off the right. Those cracked lines and their placement are important to me.

Marc, I am not one to jugde or critique your images but personally I feel this is a stronger image to me in a vert square format like this....just my personal opinion

I like the square crop as well.

I have to go with the landscape view. This place is pretty expansive and you need to show that as you have done. I have mixed feelings about the placement of the bush and wish the bush shadows were a tad bit more definitive to offset those amazing clouds. Nonetheless, it is still an impressive image.

How long of a drive from Portland?

Darren, of course you're one to judge and critique my images. Everyone is. Maybe you haven't 'done' as much in photography or whatever, but it dosen't take a trained eye to know what you like and don't like. Thanks for your input. It's always appreciated.

I love the light in this image and for me the bush in foreground works as it gives the image a strong foreground beginning leading to the contrast in the beautiful background mountain peaks.

As is works in every way for me, Marc. The feeling of almost nothingness everywhere with the mountains being a nice resting place with totally unique set of clouds on top..... really unique look and I still can't freaking believe this is in Oregon !!

I dunno about this one. Great texture in the sky, good light, but it just feels to empty to me. If your intent was to call attention to the sky, I feel a crop higher to the horizon would have worked better, but for a foreground anchor, there's just not enough there to keep my attention.

Another vote for the original. As I see this image, the sense of flatness and space are central, and the original emphasizes that, with the long shadow of the tuft in foreground and the mountains receding into the distance on the right. Excellent work as usual Mr. Adamus!
