I like the dark menacing clouds that seem to be opening up. I also like the composition of rocks in the FG

I really like the clouds here. The water action is also more powerful than in the other image IMO, but needs some contrast adjustments and lightening to reach it's full potential. I also feel the water looks too muddy here. Maybe it was? Maybe the light was partially to blame. I liked the aqua color in the other image you posted from here....I think it was from here?

There should never be problems with color going from TIFF to JPEG in CS2. Now, posting on the web is a different story. Convert to sRGB first, and then make moderate compensation to both saturation and contrast in necessary before 'saving for web' - which will preview the image as it will look online. There's also a zillion other ways to do this and everyone has a different opinion, such as working in LAB. In the second image here it appears you have adjusted the brightness of the bottom half but not compensated with stronger contrasts. I would suggest playing with the curves to correct this, or simply going back and doing a highlight dodge to accent the wave action.

this is a conversion in sRGB as were the other 2 but this was a straight conversion without using image ready or save to web

Okay, now I'm confused (more than usual, that is).

I'll go for the last version but I think I'd lighten everything below the horizon just a bit.
