I know this is short notice but I was wondering if anyone knows of some cool streams around the Sunriver area for shooting in the early morning...or maybe some waterfalls that are not mentioned in the waterfall book....

Thanks I leave tomorrow for 5 days.....

Darren - I have one suggestion - if you go South of there to Crane Prairie, (the lake), then drive along the road, (not sure which one - its on the map), go to where the Deschutes River that feeds into the lake, (not out). It is a nice little stream with potential. I started to explore it one summer, but the mosquitos nearly ate me alive! This is the time to check it out. Park along the road, (at a bridge), and take the trail upstream....

Deschutes is the stream feeding the lake from Little Lava lake

Check out Benham Falls if time allows.

Right across the road from the main (south) access into Sunriver is a road up to the Lava Cast Forest. No stream there, but some pretty interesting lava surrounded by forests.

And maybe ten miles south on the left is the road up to Newberry Crater. It will be closed now, but there's a lovely stream that parallels the road, about a quarter mile north of it. There are trails that run along the stream, and trailheads on the Newberry road.
