hey AR guys, I am headed up for a three day trip on the Buffalo on the 22nd. Of course I wish to float from Ponca but it does not look like there will be ample water unless there is to be some rain. Can anyone suggest a good section to consider with plenty of water and good ole buffalo scenic views? We may even decide to walk but my boat has not been in water for a long long time.
Thanks

Brent,
I'd definately take a look at the Pruitt to Woolum option. That's 26.3 miles, so just over 8.5 per day.
Should be plenty of water and there is some great scenery. It is different than the Ponca region, but still very nice. You'll see some great bluffs, including Bat House Cave (the local name - it is officially Skull Bluff), just after passing the "Nars", which you can beach your boat at and make a relatively easy climb up to the top to enjoy the view of the Buffalo on one side and Richland Valley on the other.
It's a great float, I don't think you'd be a bit disappointed. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

By the way, when I read the title "Buff. float" I was hoping you meant "Buffalo Float" and not a float in the buff. Might be a little chilly for that....
