Common Buzzard
Sorry no comments or posts recently - this is due to a trapped nerve in my neck and sitting at the computer is not good. Did manage a trip to Slimbridge last Sunday however when the highlight was two Buzzard's soaring quite close above the hide (where were you TW)

Canon 1D MkII + 500f4 + x1.4 iso 320 f6.3 @ 1/1600 (Small crop of about 20%)

Hi David,

A lovely image of the buzzard! Sorry to hear about your trapped nerve - nasty things. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Take care.

Nice flight shot Dave and again great detail.

I must admit it was superb light at Slimbridge last Sunday, I didn`t see you Dave, but bumped into Vince, I spent the afternoon in the hides that are just past the Focus shop with fellow UKNPer Bob Hastie.....oh yeah a freezing cold wind joined us!

But the Bewicks kept us there!

Cracking shot David. I especially like the diagonal wings and the way the head is turned to keep it level.

PS I have a similar neck problem and can recommend a laptop and comy sofa, rather than sitting at a desk.

Great Shot David,

I like seeing the individual feathers in the wing tip, really adds to the impression of soaring.

Hope you feel well enough to lug the camera gear soon.

Nice image. Good detail, sharp and light.

I've a shoulder/neck problem myself.

Strange thing is it's the same side as I usually carry my tripod/camera/lens on. Might invest in some spongy things for the legs.

Get well soon.

I was sitting in the Zeiss hide.. photographing reed buntings... I though the phone call was a wind-up - but then thinking about Mr Speed had gone

Hi David,
Like this one a lot, particularly how the bird is caught mid turn.
