You guys and gals should really head on over to the RMNP forum and check out the February Theme: Trees thread. One of the finest compilations of beautiful tree photos I've seen. Check 'em out!

If there is really any question as to why NPN has the finest collection of nature photography online, it is summed up rather nicely by this collection of images on just one particular subject. What's next?!

Thanks for posting this, Bret! It's really inspiring to see so much enthusiasm around this one little theme. When Adam and I were chatting about what to select for this month's theme, I don't think either one of us thought we'd get i]this]/i] kind of response. The rich collection of images is really a testament to the rich collection of people who participate on RMNP.

Thanks Bret, I always enjoy looking at fine images of trees. Also nice that your regional sub-forum has such a high level of participation. Trees offers tremendous opportunities for those willing to expend time and effort hunting for the great ones because they require effort and skill to frame well, often exceptional weather, atmosphere, season, and time of day, to elevate to exceptional levels. And because they are so small in the vastness of landscapes, there are many many great ones beyond roadsides or trailsides that have yet to be noticed, much less seriously captured on film or media. ...David
