Yesterday was a great day for waterfall hunting in Eagle creek, so I bushwhacked my way up to Upper Sorenson Falls. A nice place, but the waterfall itself I found very un-photogenic, as you will see when I post some pics later.

One bonus though is that near the falls, the stream is rather flat and there is an incredible little grove of very large trees along the creek. The gentile, fern covered slopes and relatively flat grade make it really an awesome little 1/10th of a mile grove. Sadly, there was a ton of winter debris all over the place and I could get any non-chaotic wide shots :frown:

In any case, I decided to go close in on some of the larger trees. I hadly ever (try to) do this type of shot, what do you think?

I need more of a path for my eye, Andy. It's a nice detail but I'm not finding the wonder, the magic.

Mark gives my thoughts exactly. I bet you came up with some other nice shots on your trip up there.

Ha, no wonder I never try these shots, lol, thanks!
