Red Fox
These foxes are really active this time of year. This particular fox kept getting chased off by two others. Trying to get shots of this is tricky. I guess I will just keep going until I get some shots. Thanks for looking.

Here is the one where he got chased off. Not the greatest. Had to use the shadow tool to bring out some detail

Nice ones Dan! The second looks pretty good for having to recover the shadows. The first is spectacular...he looks like he's got an ear swiveled listening in case the other guy is following!

Excellent. Wish I was closer to shoot these fox! Always enjoy your postings.

Two paws in the air and the wonderful light makes that first one a standout! The action shot is also very good, although it looks too light in the shadows. Maybe by leaving more contrast in the photo will make it better than it already is. In any case, I would be happy to have both in my portfolio.

Dan: great shots! I actually prefer the 2d to the 1st, love the action; looks less like a 'portrait'.

Hi Dan.

In the first shot, I would clone out the 4 snowflakes on the side of the fox. Otherwise it's perfect. I like the second photo more, but think you have overused the shadow/highlight tool. Thanks for posting.

Just outstanding work, Dan. The fox fight is a rare image - nice job keeping all of that fast-paced action in the frame.
