Fellow PNWNPNers,

Last summer, my mother, a professional artist in New Hampshire,
suggested to me that we have a show together. She said she'd pick
eight of my photographs and do her version in oil paint. I was fine
with that, she picked my photos, it was pretty easy for me.
The show opens on Feb. 23 at the University of Southern New Hampshire.
The curator of the gallery has sent out 200 invites, my mom sent out
300 and I've sent out five or six. Peggy, Ellen and I are flying out
next week for the show and a long weekend.

These are links to the photos my mother picked.

Neal Creek Mill
Rowena Marsh
Catherine Creek Tree
Sandstone Detail
Windcave Color
The Swirls
A Warp
Marsh Grass

My prints are pretty much 18x22, double matted with nice flat black
wood frames, they all look pretty nice.
Everything is for sale at the show and hopefully I'll clean up, or at
the very least, break even.

It's going to be way cool, I'll post some photos when I get back of my
photo and her version since they are going to be hung side by side.

Thanks, everyone.

It's going to be pretty cool. I'll take photos of my mom's version along side my photo and post them here when I get back.

Luckily for us, there is a real good airport in Manchester now. We used to have to fly into Logan at Boston which was usually a nightmare.

Godd lucky on your show Mark! I hope you and your mother do exceedingly well. You both are such talented artists...what an awesome team and experience for both of you.

A Coffee Co. employee has worked at a Mail Boxes and More and in the shipping department of a windsurfing company. She's packed dozens of my prints, even with glass, and none has ever arrived damaged. Still though, 6 of the eight were supposed to be delivered today, I may call to see how they arrived.

I flew through Logan during the 2000 Boston marathon. I have to admit it wasn't a fun experience. I had to wait in line for almost two hours on legs that had been put through the ringer.
