I have not been posting a lot. I have been travelling all over Europe for my work but last week i finally managed to spend a week in Olanka National Park in Finland and was able to get some good images of Golden eagle.

Hello Rene
Nice to see you posting again and what a picture to start of again. I really don't agree with pauls responce to it this is a great shot with everything thrown in, setting, mood, action, light and a wild golden eagle. These are bloody hard to get and you have done a great job.

Hi Rene, be interested to know the techs. I think it's the wing blur and feet blur that detract from the image and I think a bit less movement would make this a great image. Only my opinion, but like Paul, I'd like it in my bag
I like it too, and I quite like the implied movement from the slight blur... my only minor nit is that the bird is perhaps a touch central in the frame, but I assume this is full frame...
What a wonderfull setting for this magnificent bird.

Rene,
This is a great shot. I like the movement in the legs, I think it adds to the effect.
Well done.

A real beauty, a real pleasure to view Rene.
Love the snow covered feet, oh, looks fine on my monitor.
Nice shot - Hare looks a bit worse for wear though - would recommend staying off the aquavit

Hi Rene,
Dynamic image and I'd agree with it being a little far forward in the frame but this is a wild Golden Eagle and you have to be happy with getting any images at all. I'd love to see the techs on this too.
I hope we get to see a lot more from your trip.
Hi a really nice image with some frozen food for the bird .
Phillip.

Having spent quite some time photographing these in Norway myself last month I can only concur with Danny's comments - these are hard birds to get excellent shots of even in great settings and hide locations so for me this is a cracker - well done, and I bet the adrenalin rush in and around this particular split second was amazing too!!

I like this image a lot.
I like the blur, snow around the feet etc.
Maybe a little more room around the top of the frame would've been nice?

The eagle does have a painterly feel.
It stands out well against the white surroundings, and I like the open talons.
A great capture
