This was a grabshot as I am suffering from withdrawl symptoms. I was on my way to a customer yesterday morning and, crossing the bridge, saw this guy perched within range of my 70-300mm lens. I couldn't resist.

Canon 1DMkIIn
70-300mm IS
ISO400
1/250th
f6.3

Cropped to Portrait format

Looks pretty good for a grab shot - love the colours you have captured, especially the water!

Hi Rob,

The colours look a bit 'edgy' - a bit too blue. Did you use the camera's Auto White Balance or set your own?

An incredible bird and one that I've consistently failed to get close to over the years but it does look a little funky here on my laptop.

Thanks for your comments guys. It was shot on AWB Nick. I did warm it slightly in RSE afterwards.
