I am watching the weather and it says the upper southeast is getting snow! It is so hot and windy here today... 30s this weekend. I have a redbellied woodpecker checking out my bluebird birdhouse that I put up just for ornamentation. I used to get to Waynesville when my parents had a condo there many moons ago. It is beautiful country. My daughter went to Wake Forest for two years also. I got to see a 'fall' and a 'spring' during that time.

No snow here! I would like to have some, although not like NY has had!
I was in Asheville all day yesterday until 9 PM. All they got was rain as well.

We actually got a light dusting on the back deck yesterday. About as much snow as we get pollen in the spring. But it went away a LOT faster than the pollen.
Hoping that central Alabama finally breaks its long snowlessness this weekend. Last time we got any measurable snow was about 8 years ago.

We got a couple of inches and some gorgeous hoarfrost. The sun's shining brightly now so I doubt the hoarfrost will last much longer.

In the dark & without checking weather I chose Linville Gorge this morning over Lake James and there was snow! The road crews were out before the sun so the roads were managable.
