The Heron was sheltering behind a nearby reed bed (along with many more Herons & Egrets) and I managed to capture this after it was startled into flight by the arrival of a Marsh Harrier.

Nicely caught.
I've just been setting up a hide for a local heronry this morning (project I'm working on for the next month or so) and some shots like this one would be nice!!

Hi Paul,
It's by Ellesmere in North Shropshire - some work I'm doing with/for the County Council's Countryside Team covering their annual Heronwatch programme. Should be fun!
