I am having a short trip to Boston during March 16-18 and will be staying with my friend for one day and go solo for the other two days. For the one day (Friday) with my friend we probably won't go too far from Boston, but for the other two days I will probably spend most of my time taking pictures of ... well that's what I need suggestions for.

From previous posts it seems to be a good idea to stay closer to the coast (being a Coloradan I always try to avoid getting into skiers traffic  ). It's a pity that two days don't seem enough to get me to Acadia, so what I am looking for is probably plum island, great bay, nubble light house..etc, any other suggestions? And which city should I stay for the Saturday night?

Thanks,

hey tien, i think you should definately go to plum island.. there may be some snowy owls there and you will probably see short eared owls.. it is a great place to see and not very far from boston.. also out here in the western part of the state (2hours drive) where i am from there is a place called pleasent valley and my favorite spot in the world canoe meadows.. they are managed by ma audubon.. there may not be many great opps of wildlife but these places are truley majicial imo. probably becasue they are so close to home.. anyhow that is all i can think of for the moment.. i will let you know if anything else comes to mind

Could always go in the other directions to the Cape as well. I hear the Berks are nice, though I don't have any knowledge of the area myself. Maine is a favorite of mine. Love the coastline. Can't go wrong there.
