Hi, I recently bought a Sigma 15-30. I would like to use it on my Canon 5D with a set of GND. I know I should buy the Z-pro holder for avoiding vignetting when shooting @ 15mm. What I'm wondering is that I haven't seen any "universal" adaptor for the Z-pro (the lens does not have the possibility to mount filters and the cap holder -82mm- you can use starts vignetting on my 5D @ 24 mm). Any tips? How to mount the Z-Pro holder on this lens? (info on Z-pro can be found here: http://www.cokin-pro-video.com/ico15/ico15-haut.html?=#z)

Massimo, is this the Sigma lens that takes gel filters and has the hood permanently mounted to the front of the lens?

Hold the filter with your hand.
Hold a shade with a flex arm attached to your tripod.
Hoods aren't effective with super wides.
The Canon lenses are better choices for filter use.
I have both the 5D and the Sigma 15-30
@ Tom: yes it is.
@ Don: I was supposing a solution as the one you mention.... I must say that my 15-30 is sharper then a couple of 17-40 I tried before....

Massimo - yes, I like the 15-30 lens a lot. Maybe a 12-24 EF lens from canon in a few weeks as an option. I have the Lee hood/filter system. But with very wide angle lenses, the hood is pulled back so far it is of little value. When I first got into large format I was asking what expensive shade solution I could buy, and one of the older guys said "I just use my hat". Doh.
Proper shading is very much undervalued in 35mm, especially with zooms where only the wide end is optimal.
Just for completeness I found this interesting article on the net on how to use Sigma 12-25 and Sigma 15-30 with Xpro or Lee filters.... Have a look here.
