Hello :wavey:

I spect this wont be to most of your tastes, as it appears that most of you preffer to take/see shots of birds.Which IMO is a shame :frown: .

Anyway, here's a different look on the moon.

This shot turned out great, taking the moon in the day as it show's up the craters nicely

I think it is well executed and a excellent shot. Did you have to sharpen it much?

Hello Alan
I like it too. I don't think we necessarily prefer the bird shots, I think we sometimes don't look carfeully enough for the unusual as you certainly do, which I think is a credit to yourself.
Best wishes

Tom - It was sharpend a little, just to bring out abit more detail on the craters.

Philip - Yeah everyone has they're specialized subject, which is great(just seeing by the awesome shots i see in this forum). It must be me, i sort of photograph anything that catches my eye. That must be the reason i have so many different size lenses lol.

Thanks for the comments :toast:

Hi Alan,

Nice to see it with a bit of blue sky around it . If you have a 2x, then try shooting with it stacked with the 1.4x. You'll be surprised at how fast the moon moves.... try adding another stacked convertor into the equation and the moon positively legs it across your viewfinder

Hi Alan

Nice capture, makes a change to see a blue sky on moon photos. Excellent detail.

I might have tried using f8 and ISO 200 for a slightly better quality image, although this looks pretty good anyway.

cheers

Sean

All it needs is a couple of birds flying in front of it  Only kidding, always a pleasure to see all forms of outdoor photography.
Impressive detail
