A Pale Great Tit on a Dull Day
Taken today whilst topping up the feeders.

Light was very dull but I was very pleased with this little fella.

D2X - 400mm F2.8 AF-S
ISO 400, F8, 1/500th sec
Using vehicle as a hide.
No flash used

Small amount of cropping on left & right to frame

Thanks for looking, comments/critique very welcome

I really like this one Vince, a bit different to the usual bird on a stick photo.

Hi Vince

Another excellent shot from your perches. Good exposure and colours too for an overcast day. Nothing wrong with composition, and the eye is obviously pin sharp, but it does look like the feather detail on the back of the bird has gone to mush, although this could be an artifact of JPEG compression.

Nice shot :toast:

cheers

Composition works for me and the head looks very sharp, like the pose too, which shows off the acrobatic abilities of these birds.
