Hi,
Not posted for ages, had to think for a minute how to save a file for the web
Took this one a week or so ago whilst out in the New Forsest .
I quite liked the colour and patterns of the clouds and the bit of backlighting on the pony.
All comments always welcome and appreciated.

Hi Justin
Hey congratulations and welcome to the 5D club
Very nice image, it has a lovely feel to it, the backlight/rim light on the pony works very well.
A nicer sky would enhance it but you can only photograph what is there. Rather than do a double RAW conversion I sometimes will shoot an additional exposure deliberately for the sky so I can blend the two together at Photoshop time. Improves the image quality rather than 'push processing' your RAW file. Also a bit easier than using a graduated filter on a 100-400.

Thanks Sean,I must admit I usually do the same 99% of the time, not sure why I didn't on this occasion,I think it was because there wasn't a massive contrast range so knew,or rather hoped, one image would suffice, was also in a mad rush before the sun completely disappeared and the backlighting vanished.
Loving the 5D,what a fine camera it is

Verey nice Justin. Good to see you've moved on up to the 5D too.
Love it..... a pleasure to view... and of one of your favourite subjects.

Hi Justin
Beautiful - love everything about it. Perfect composition and the rim lighting on the pony helps it stand out in the frame. Also think the subtle colours in the sky are spot on!

Hello Justin
What a stunner that must be in a frame as a big print. I love it!
Best wishes

A very nice habitat image.
I like the subtle colour in the sky and the sense of openness of the landscape.

Hi Justin,
A corker!! Love the comp, rim lighting and also the mood you've captured. Excellent and as already said, would make a great print.

A single image was able to record a fairly even range of tones across the whole scene without any clipping.
