Just thought it would be nice to share this with you.
For me, this in away sort of sets the scene & the mood for when I am out observing wildlife.
Here you can see a male Barn Owl that as just left its nest box to commence hunting.
Bottom right above the hedgerow is a male Kestrel hovering over what seems to be it's last meal for the day.
Centre is a crow leaving the area to go off to its roost.
Monitoring sites can be a pleasurable experience especially when you witness these 3 species carrying on with their own business.
This sort of provides a taste of what I do in the way of monitoring some of the projects sites I work on.
Taken close to dusk whilst at work. Some might appreciate this some might be looking for close ups, & pixel count.

Hi Vince,
Excellent image. It is amazing what I see when monitoring my Owls. For the first time last night I saw both male and female come out onto the ledge and sit together, magical. Then they seemed to preen each other or rub each other and bob heads a few times, whilst this was going on I had skeins of Greylag and Canada Geese flying about, Coots and Moorhens chasing each other around like mad on the river, I look forward to this last hour of the day so much, it is a great way to get away from everything and chill out. I feel so lucky that I live somewhere that I can do this and see things and Barn Owl behaviour that not many people witness, I hope to see them displaying flying to in the near future.
Keep up the good work Vince
Regards
Rob
PS Did you get my PM regarding your kind offer??

This reminds me of those pictures you got in childrens books where you had to spot all the wildlife.
It also gives you a sense of the landscape which I like a lot.

Like Richard T's comment on this - all you need is them to be re-stickable cut outs you can move around!!
I know how you feel about the countryside though - it's a large part of what motivates me for sure.

Nice work if you can get it Vince.
I'm stuck without a view of the outside world, under flourescent tubes, staring into TFT monitors all day. What I wouldn't give to find a job outdoors......oh well.......sigh....
Your shot sums up what is great about the outdoors.
