Here's another cascade from my Adkins Creek trip. I can't quite make up my mind on this one. One day I love the composition, the next it looks dull and flat. What's your opinion?

To those who had trouble accessing the photos on my last post, apparently I had set that particular gallery to need a password. I'm not sure how I did that, it certainly wasn't my intention, and it's now gone. Let me know if it gives you any more problems.

Thanks for looking.

Bruce - I had an initial problem viewing the image, but now it's showing up OK.

I really like the way the horizontal layers of the rock in this image are offset by the vertical layers of the ice cycles. It gives an interesting feel to the picture. If conditions permitted, I might have considered a longer exposure just to smooth out the water a bit (of course you might have tried that and ultimately didn't like it). But that's a minor nit in what i think is a very nice image.

Bruce, what strikes me with this image is the number of different iterations of ice textues, very nice. I like Tim's suggestion for a longer exposure to smooth out the flowing water and thereby create a nice contrast from all the textures in the ice flows.

I'm viewing this on a marginal laptop screen so I'm anxious to see this on a better monitor. But overall I think the comp is pretty good. Thanks for posting! :wavey:
