Hello,
A plea for advice... I'm planning a trip to North Devon and wondered whether anybody out there could recommend any notable wildlife highlights that shouldn't be missed. Specifically, I'm visiting Lynton & Bideford. Many thanks for your help!

Have you thought about trying Ross Hoddinott, am sure he is from that part of the world as most of his articles in OP feature North Devon or Cornwall
Just a thought!?

Hi Elliott,
I guess this is more Brian Phipps's territory, but whenever I'm up that way Exmoor is good for Deer (though I have never had much luck) - Porlock and round there are good spots apparently, and I'm sure Brian can advise you there. Around Lynton/Lynmouth is good for Dippers - Watersmeet is lovely and the river along there has some in very photogenic surroundings, though I prefer down here along the River Dart in Dartmoor where I've just found a nesting pair - the same as I photographed last year, albeit in a different spot.
Any more info in particular please feel free to email me,
Cheers
Mark
